Parmalat Australia benefits from the multi-national scale and ambition of its parent company, without sacrificing any of the proud local heritage and traditions that began with the original Pauls milk business since 1932.At the heart of our business locally, we have over 3,500 passionate employees, working closely and constructively with some 500 Australian farmers to produce the finest dairy products in the country.About this OpportunityReporting to the National Engineering Manager and Bendigo Site Manager you will be responsible for:Manage and lead the site/s CAPEX projects and participate in Continuous Improvement as well as providing engineering support to all levels within the Parmalat business Australia wide.Management and integration all Mechanical and Process Engineering with a strong focus on CAPEX and Continuous Improvement ensuring knowledge and resources are available to meeting project deadlines.Manage and ensure that all project budgets and expected outcomes are adhered too and delivered on time and to schedule.Plan, manage, execute and commission CAPEX Projects, budget management and scope of works. Including leading a team and external contractors, delegating duties and managing performance and expectations.Identifying and solving mechanical, process, electrical or automation problems for existing and new facilitiesParticipate in design reviews to ensure robust solutions are providedManaging mechanical and process activities on site for installation, commissioning and performance testingCoordinating the support of electrical and automation activities including documentation and specificationsEnsure training and training manuals are available to staff to ensure a successful commissioning for the new projects.Ensuring all designs are implemented comply with Australian Standard Code of Practice, site requirements and other regulatory requirementsIncrease the site operation effectiveness, improve on project delivery, mean time between failure and downtime reduction, and manage and implement improvement plans.Implement and manage continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principals by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processes.Promote and participate in the Safety Management System and develop a proactive safety culture.Managing relationships across maintenance support, suppliers, contractors, operations and safetyExperience/Skills Required:Tertiary Qualification in Process, Mechanical and/or Chemical EngineeringMUST HAVE - Dairy Industry Experience.
